Smile Honda Warrantee

Hi All,

Just need to get this off my chest,

Back in November I noticed the black wearing through on my drivers seat, I took it into Gatwick Honda, they took some pictures and a week later said yes Honda will replace the leather under warrantee

I took the car in and they repalce the cover fore me, OMG.... not only didnt it fit too big with folds and ripples everywhere, the leather looks like its missed a whole process and is like sand paper in compairson to everything else.

Gatwick Honda got back onto them and another cover tured up, exactley the same, didnt even bother to fit it.

Again a another new cover ordered and sent and yes the same crap finish to the leather.....

Any idea of a way forward with this?

Does anyone have a way into honda to get them to take a look at this for me?

Thanks

Or get your seats repaired at a reputable car upholsterer and get Honda to cover the costs?

Yeah this is where I am going next, it's such a shame Honda dont seem to offer the kind of service they say they do.

my drivers seat is showing a very small amount of wear

but that is the reason I can't be arsed to take it to a dealer

some things are best left alone

Mine has slight wear on the drivers side outer bolster, it'll get looked at when in for a service in May'ish, not holding out much hope for good result though.

Honda are probably sending it away to a 3rd party upholsterer.

Sounds like the guys at Gatwick having problems fitting it, rather than the warrantee being a problem

Speak to the guys at Gatwick and explain they are clearly incapable of fitting the cover properly. Next stop Honda UK.

I agree that Gatwick Honda may have some issues on the fitting but the quality of the leather isn’t their issue, they even said it looks like and feels totally different .

I will let you know how I get on.....

Newer leather is soft, far too soft and it doesn't feel the same. Seen more than one 08/09 car with poor quality seats and wear coming through after < 20k miles.

Bokkies new seat covers started to wear within 2 weeks of being fitted.

On the other hand, my Clazzio ones have been faultless for over 6 months now by comparison.
