I am going to be moving to Italy in the near future and will be taking the s2000 with me, I have driven it in Europe on several occasions for holidays and back in 2002 when we got it we were advised we didn't have to do anything to the headlights for dipping to the other side, I cant remember why that was, but never had any issues, my thoughts now turn to having to register it as an Italian vehicle has anyone any experience on doing this and what may need changing headlights etc.. given that it was deemed ok previously/

any advice welcome.

i have UK rhd s2000 in NL and all that happen was that the pattern shields were shaved down to flat pattern.... so now car can be in rhd and lhd country. But rules in netherlands are annoying... i think italians wont care.

By the way good luck, hope you dont plan on parking it on a street... i drove my s2000 to florence this summer and while it was awesome trip, i didnt not see a single car that wasnt fukked/scratched/dented in some way...

Have you seen the state of the cars over in Italy?! They won't care which direction your lights are pointing!

That's also what Google said. As long as paperwork is in order, no one will care about anything else.

We holiday in Italy every year and as others have indicated they are extremely laid back and seem to have a mantra of"it's OK, doesn't matter"so the chances of anyone actually checking anything are remote. The state of some of the cars on the roads defies belief.

thanks for the responses, I have to say the state of the cars is one thing but the roads seem to even worse than here in kent and sussex so will probably be having the alignment done more frequently, I can see new bushes being the next item on the agenda, but I couldn't leave behind the car just for grin factor I still get when I get to use the car even after 15 years.
