Default Hondata K-Pro and AEM EMS

I am deciding to chop out the ECU and get one of the above, with a view to going FI.

What are the main differences between the 2? The Hondata is a little more epensive but much more tuneble I have been told. However I think TTS started their Supercharger package on Hondata and switched to AEM later on?

Views and opinions people?

Thanks

I think you have to change 2 sensors to run the hondata and they are not simple to do
I have the AEM FIC on mine and whilst it's ok it does have drawbacks and in hindsight I should have gone for the full AEM system which can also drive the gauge and have closed loop control using the lambda sensor from the gauge

I'd go with the AEM mate. Like you said the Kpro is more expensive and I think you have to buy

Long story but ive run both on my s2k. The hondata was nice as i had all the usual ODB2 functions , but the cost of buying the parts and the labour involved is a pita. TDC sensor and crank sensor changes are not 5 minute jobs. The other upside of Hondata is there are a few more Tuners in the uk who are more used to working with it but saying that from past experiences theres not that many i would trust.

Im now running AEM and its been great, i run a seperate water gauge so thats not an issue, only thing that bugs me is not having a working CEL light to show any potential issues.

Mase plans to come over some time next month so it is an ideal time to get a blower installed and tuned with an AEM EMS.

Thanks chaps! kitkat, I may just have to!

The only issue I have is the mileage on the engine, but I figured if I dont run stupid boost and bhp figures then it should fine!

I'd also suggest getting the clutch done, and getting the injectors before hand.

I've seen a few clutches slip. And I maxed out my injectors early on.
