Just don't park under an apple tree!

I did without realising and an apple landed on my head

I left my hood down with valuable locked in the glovebox for 20 minutes whilst I was in the shops. I got back to find the little ashtray had been opened and realised that I'd left my ipod nano in there! I was probably as annoyed about some little chav sitting in my car as I was at the loss of the nano!

I always put the hood up - 10 seconds doing that isn't that long really considering the damage the little sods can do while you are doing your shopping.

There have been a couple of threads on here about eggs.

Not worth the grief

I always put my *cough* roof *cough* back up. I left it down on my drive way for less than ten minutes once. I came back to find that someone had lobbed an empty Coke bottle in there

Don't risk it being a full bottle with no lid on.

Always put it up - one less target for a pigeon or seagull.

It goes up in 7 seconds

I don't risk it, let the chavs target someone else.

IIRC there are insurance implications if left unattended with the roof down.

That said, I do a mixture of the two

Left mine down once in the high street in Kinross for about five minutes, it's not a big town nor is it full of arseholes and yet I came back to find someone had thrown some rubbish into the car.

People spit into the cars and the like, personally it's easier to spend the 7 seconds putting the roof up than the irritation of someone gobbing or throwing garbage into your car.
