Default How far back should the roof fold down?

Is this as far as the roof is supposed to go down or do I need it looked at?

For comparison, here's how far the roof went down on a car I had a go in recently. Not as clear a photo as yours but hope it helps.

AFAIK the extent to which the roof retracts can depend upon how warm it is. If it was a coolish day (and we've had plenty lately ) that might explain why it didn't go quite as far down.

mine does that sometimes, its when the rear glass window does not fold into place correctly. I just put my roof up then down again and that usually cures it. or i gently fold in the window as the roof is going down.

As the roof is vinyl, it can get a bit stiff in cold(ish) weather. Either drive a few miles with the roof up and heater on to soften it up, or just try putting it up and down a few times.

I'd be surprised if the stoppers need adjusting ...

Tends to do it in cold weather or the first time if its not been down for a while. As suggeste warm it up with the heater and try again. When its cold and half way down the glass (04>) can stick, try easing it gently and continue.

Jofes - Is you car a GT model?? I noticed that the GT cars seem to fold down further to allow the hardtop to be installed.

Just a thought.

My 2000MY used to sit high too.
