Default How many alloys with tyres fit in an S?

Anyone previously transported a complete set of 4 OEM 16" alloys with tyres (which could be deflated) in an S? If so where do they fit?

Removal of the passenger seat perhaps?

Would two fit in the boot?
Would a front fit in the cavity of the spare?

I dont have the 4 alloys yet so i can't test it out either.

With removal of passenger seat perhaps you could manage 4.

When I picked up my BBS I could only get 2 in with passenger seat in situ(1 in boot 1 on passenger seat), so elected to take the gf's mini instead!

You'll only get 1 in the boot, doubt very much that a front will go in the cavity of the spare.

I picked up two rear 16's with tyres the other day. I had taken the passenger seat out and stood them upright with some bubble wrap to protect them. You could get another one in the boot, if you took out the tool kit box and cover and stand it upright. But that leaves you one more

So a quick summary - and it looks possible at least....

Remove front left at home
put Space saver on front left,
passenger seat out.
2 wheels go in space made by passenger seat removal.
remove space saver and replace with new 16" OEM
space saver returns to original cavity.

last alloy in the boot!

Not sure I want to drive any where with space saver or mixing 16" and 17"s with different treads!

Borrow a boot rack from someone and you can put one on there, one rear in the boot (with the removal of the tool kit) and you can get two in the passenger seat.

Good thinking. That should work so long as you take it steady and don't go over the "speed limit" of the space saver. How far do you have to travel to pick them up?

Or borrow a boot rack thingie

Ask a friend with a hatch back or similar to help you out, and both go and collect them.

Or even ask if someone on this forum can help you out........

about 40 miles to get them, none and i mean none of my mates have cars! Apart from 1 (who managed to destroy my 306 beater last week atfer i lent it to him 6 months ago - no oil no water for 6 months = )

Using dads car now, so i am not desperate to get 4 alloys in!

But these are good ideas for the future, so thanks everyone for chipping in!
