Default How many miles do you get on a tank?

Hey,

Was just reading a post and some guy said that they got 300 miles out of a full tank. Think this was done on a long trip(s). It got me thinking...i get about 210-220 per tank(but i never run it right down, so could probably get 230 maybe a tad more)....So was wondering what some of you guys get out there. I do short trip work and back, maybe 15-20 miles per day so wouldnt expect my mileage to be great.

(Im sure ive seen this asked before on here...but hey!)

SEARCH!

Normal day to day driving is normally between 200 and 250 miles per tank.

Hardcore track stuff is as per Lower's post.

Motorway stuff you should be up around 280-320, depending on your right foot.

It's easy. Unless it's all town, b road blasting. If it's mostly motorway, A roads then 300 miles is a piece of pi$$ to achieve, including a fair amount of VTEC too.

I managed 49mpg on a 100 mile trip once!! Now THAT deserves a

Doing the drive to work, which is 14 miles a day for me, I get similar to you (light usually comes on about 200-220). On a long motorway journey, at 75-80mph, I have got >350 once. Back roads, lots of VTEC, 160 is my worst (or best ) so far. I have heard of people only getting about 100 on a track day.

There can't be many other cars that will vary their consumption so wildly depending how it's driven.

edit: (the bonus of VTEC I suppose!)

Hmm, I think your maths may be a tad up the creek (or maybe accuracy of the fill-up). It's good, but it's not THAT good!

Normally get about 260 - 280 on 45 litres with soft top up/down. When the hard top is on get about 310 - 330.

Not really a speed merchant mind
