I can honestly say that by the time I filled up yesterday it was the first time I had seen 200 miles from a tank.

I get 180 to 210 mostly.

Mainly due to commuting.

If I do long journeys I average 250 per tank, as I usually cruise at 90mph.

320 miles isn't too hard as long as you're careful with your right foot.

Got less than 10 mpg yesterday 85 miles for 40 litres.

Cool...glad to hear im getting the same sort of mileage as you guys...was thinking my it might be time to get my 'map sensor' checked(if indeed that is what governs the engine's proformance) but seems i dont need to.
It is, but excessive fuelling tends to be the fault of the lambda sensor (used to govern fuelling when idling / cruising)

The job of the map is basically to determine eninge load. When you have your foot down or on VTEC, the lambda is ignored and the map sensor alone is used for fuelling. It sends a constant but varying voltage(which correlates to a manifold pressure) to the ECU, then the ECU has inbuilt lookup fuelling tables to decide what amount of fuel to put in. The ECU also looks at air temp / coolant temp / knock etc to determin correction values to help get it spot on.

But yes, the map is used all the time, just the lambda is used in a feedback loop when you aren't driving hard.
