How many people have been threatened by neighbours
Hi all,
So last night at 11:30 I came home from an evening out (I don't drink often, so driving is cheaper/a million times more fun), and because it's late I virtually clutch it into a space.
Some guy comes out of his house and threatens that this is the last time, and that I should keep it down.
Now I will be the first to admit that sometimes, when it isn't that late, I do let the revs rise to 2-3k. But it's a rare occasion I'm out past 9 during the week.
Going round today to have words about threatening behaviour and what he meant by last time. If he means he's going to damage the car then matters will have to be taken further.
Any other stories of people complaining??

Nothing to really do with the noise of my car, despite q300 & decat. Neighbours diesel peugeot van seems just as loud! (think it has no oil)
However, in the midst of a carpark battle, which is just as bad
Do not accept threats, especially if you are not actually being anti-social!

Had a near fight over a wheelie bin,a potential fire hazard to property,<not theirs>they have now moved, was pathetic two men tugging at a green bin like little boys and all the other neighbors watching.

Speak to his wife / partner - they are often more receptive to civil discussion and is better placed to put the oaf back in his box.
I really enjoy some arguments, and thoroughly recommend them sometimes (I'm an engineer, says it all), but escalation isn't what's best for you in this instance.

My classic mini had a very loud exhaust, it only affected one of my neighbours but when the car was running they couldn't watch TV as it interfered with it.
They spoke to me nice and calmly and ever since then I don't leave it running outside unless I really need to.
Simple give and take but if they don't speak to you before they have got to the end of their limits then it's a long battle ahead
