Dave. I installed mine a couple of weeks ago. I was a bit sketical about doing it myself, but it turned out really easy, and saved me anywhere from $200 to $600 for a dealer install. I took pics and did a good writeup about installing it, and it should be added to the S2Ki's FAQs shortly. If you haven't read the install instructions yet, take a look at the HandA-Accessories web page (sponsor link below); they are in pdf format, about half-way down the page.

If you guys are all keen to get one of these hardtops, I recommend a couple (or more) of you get together for an install - then, if one of you has a query about something, there'll be a second opinion on hand. However, trust me, it is not difficult at all. I reckon two of you can do one install in 2.5 hours. One person about 3 hours.

BTW Ian. If you decide to get them (as a group) abroad, you might want to consider doing a partial install on the S2Ks wherever you pick them up. All you need to do is install one bracket (4 bolts) either side behind the seats, and possibly adjust the height of the lock down with the HT in place (adjust 3 bolts either side). You use the same two clips on the front rail as you use now for the softop, and then just lock it down fully for the trip back. Then, when you're back home, you just do the rest of the install, which is mainly the wiring for the rear heater. I rekon you could get the hard top on, ready for driving, in less than 30 minutes, tops.

To you all.

I have just contacted the main dealer in Brussells for prices of hardtop fitted, without tax - as we will obviously pay that upon returning to the UK
I have also asked what sort of discount we could get for a group buy,
As soon as I have a reply I will post it here,

Anthony

Hi guys,

Just to let you know what is happening at the moment, I have email several dealerships to get quotes. I have only contacted Belgium ones so far, but in three weeks I am going over to France for the day, so may pop into a dealership then to get a quote from them. Will post my news as I get it.
