Another for the AEM V2, a great intake with colder air intake than most, slightly better response noted. No issue with hydrolocking except you ford over 12” of water........and I don’t think any would drive in that amount of water anyway.

Ran a V2 for 3 Years with no issue, now running a PWJDM intake. A great snorkel and more mid range pull the result, a few standard car owners have all noted the difference. Never had it on a dyno to put figures on it. A full tune would make more of it.

The K&N is shit IME, it sounds great but heatsoaks like a bastard. I'm now running a PWJDM Carbon intake, it is sublime(apart from the crap airbox bolts which round incredibly easily.) it sounds superb, and the throttle response and power gains across the rev range are noticeable over the OEM air box, unfortunately it's expensive but I would say well worth it.

I can vouch for this, I had the K&N FIPK and it heat soaked like a B$*tch. I swapped to an Injen CAI and it transformed the way the car felt, no jerkyness on throttle and no more kangarooing. Tbh it even sounds better than the K&N.

I too have been thinking about an induction kit, but the OEM standard airbox just seems soo good.
The LHT mod to the standard airbox seems like the way to go for me. (Will buy a 2nd hand oem airbox to hack up) instead of hacking my original one

I've just removed a K&N drop-in filter from my FK2 as I'm nervous about contamination of the intake air given that it's a daily driver. I just wanted to see if it would improve the sound (and more likely to improve power given that it's FI) and it certainly achieved that.

Why don't you recommend the K&N FIPK, Ray?

(Ed.) Tango, is that HKS kit DBW compatible?
Ah good point, I don’t think it is DBW compatible, you’d have to add something for your temp sensor.

Miloking, Dont you have to cut the underside of your hood to fit your induction kit scoop?

I’m glad it’s not just me who kangaroos! It’s so irritating!
