IIRC Chris Knott (or more accurately, the insurer they used) stopped offering policies to people who had not owned an S2000 for at least one year. Presumably because lots of noobs had made claims.

I can understand that as setting some underwriting rules to exclude a particular vehicle would be pretty straightforward. Rating on the basis of having never driven be before would be a lot more complex as you'd need industry historical data to pick this up.
And what if I owned a TVR or similar beforehand does that make me more likely to not be able to drive an S ? Not sure the logic stacks up there.

It was probably along the lines of "renewals only". i.e. no new policies were being underwritten.

the stats won't lie

expect a couple of bad prangs in the next few months

it has happened every year since I bought my first S in 2002

usually diesel related on a dead straight road...

oh, and to the poster contemplating an E46 M3 - you would be mad to swerve a specialist inspection

in addition to the documented subframe issue these are prone to serious rust
