Default interior colour - tan?

Hi, might sound a bit daft BUT I'm looking to buy soon and I've spotted a 56 plate, well 2 actually both in Moonrock. Both Honda Dealerships at £12,500 each and both just over 30,000 on the clock.

One has black and red combo leather BUT the other one in the pic appears more like tan (just seats and carpets) .... I was thinking it was the picture BUT the more I look I'm not sure. Too late to call the dealer.

Anyone know if 'tan' was an option? I've never seen it before so assume the picture is a bit odd .... bit strange as all other colours on the pics look ok.

Anyone confirm one way or another please?

As I recall Tan was available around way back but only through parallel imports with Berlina Black (there may be have been other body colours though) It then became available on UK cars with Berlina Black and another colours (a dark purply black). Can't remember the exact colour. I looked at a Berlina Black with Tan late this summer (it looked great and I would have bought the car had it not been for a front & rear push). Finally ended up buying Nigel Cockram's Moonrock with Red/Black interior because the car had been so well cared for. There are far more knowledgeable mbrs on the forum than I who I'm sure will be able to give you specific details.

the "dark purply black" is deep burgundy i believe, and is a very nice colour.

Sounds like it's going to be the picture that's faulty ....... the funny thing is the carpet looks the same and I can't imagine it having tan coloured carpet

thanks for your thoughts.

I saw one with a tan interior, the seats looked nice but the carpets were filthy and I would imagine it would be a pain to keep clean!

Just checked my UK brochure dated January 2006 and the following had 'Brown leather' noted as optional:-

Moon Rock
Royal Navy Blue Pearl
Berlina Black
Deep Burgundy Metallic

Must admit I quite like it - probably because it's quite rare. Perhaps though only on a Moon Rock or Berlina Black though

There's a photo in the brochure of this - definitely what they termed as 'Brown'
