Investment Potential
Hi, as a new member bear with me. I want to buy two Honda s2000 cars. one as an investment and one as my road car. The question is. Is the GT version a better potential investment than other models
many thanks alan wetherall |
It doesn't seem like a great investment to buy a spare car.

many thanks alan wetherall You will find most members will baulk at your idea, most members buy the S to drive not hide away in a garage. Sure the S is creeping up in value, but it ain't no Ferrari. Don't believe everything you read on MSN Auto Trader posts. |

many thanks alan wetherall i would most certainly stockpile some oem parts, prices of those are going up and if you want to keep you s2000 you will need them.. |
Welcome.
Why would you ask for investment advice on a dedicated car forum? You're hardly likely to hear that the investment potential of the S2000 is poor. More likely the opposite or is that want you want to hear? Much better advice available on the technical aspects of the car. |

I agree also. Honda's are meant to be driven and enjoyed.
It's a bonus that they appreciate in value but as mentioned, road tax/insurance and up keep negates the cost for it being an investment. Even if I had an NSX-r (NA2) - uber rare. I would still drive it and enjoy it. (maybe not as much though) - lol |
The GT is only a GT when it has the hard top. We've seen some advertised here lacking the HT which means they're just "base" models and nothing special.
