Sorry for jumping in boys but, any of you lot know what like Skerries is?
I'm maybe spending a week there in the summer (working) and was just wondering really :) TIA |
Skerries, small town north of dublin. Not going to be all that exciting I'd imagaine. I've never been in the town, but you will be close to the nice seaside towns of Malahide and Howth, which are good for a stroll and nice food.
You are about 45 minutes from Dublin city centre by train or car so you can make some trips into the city |
The Skerries 100 motor bike road races ar on the 4/5th July if you are around for them.
Late July unfortunatley, I'm on holiday the 4/5th :(
Funny Dave, I was thinking the same thing about Anglesea! I've done a few bike track days there some years back and I understand it's been completely re-built since then! We would probably have to stay over the previous night to get there in time in the morning!
Unfortunately the sailing times are not great so we would need to overnight somewhere on Saturday. In order to get back for work on Monday morning, there is only one option which is the slow ferry at 2:30 am.
What the f..k would we do in Hollyhead until 2.00am!!!
Still a bit of food for thought though.....
Richard,
There's is this lovely cafe in the town centre that serves what is meant to resemble food. I'm sure we could play name the dish.. or spot the chav or how many times someone asks are baked beans a vegetable?? You'd be surprised how quickly time flys in Holyhead!! |
