switching between platforms is fine just like switching between sub forums is fine

what isn't fine is ignoring the conventions of the platform or sub forum you have chosen to post in/on

I don't use Facebook because of the prevalence of one line drivel postings which are generally absent here

it therefore seems only reasonable that fans of one line drivel postings respect the general absence of such postings in this sub forum

and that I don't visit Facebook and spoil the fun with my po faced seriousness

exactly that issue was at the heart of tensions around OT and led to the creation of a muppet sub forum

yet still people would post obvious muppetry in OT, either in an existing thread or as a new topic

funnily enough, I can't think of a single example of someone posting serious material in muppets...

I think both Facebook and S2K can co-exist quite happily, just as neighbours can do the same, as long as everyone respects the conventions in the other person's house

sorry if that upsets anyone :group hug:

Most of the forums I visit are for dead cars and are therefore are pretty dead too.

There is more activity on 'new car' sites, definitely.

NSXCB would be a counterpoint; since the NC1 is such a sales disaster, the forum is still pretty dead.

Google's probably already stolen all my personal information, so I don't feel the need to work out how to work out how to use the mindless-gobshite sites merely so that they may do likewise.

Agree with the 'rules and regs' bit but given how little attention people pay to it elsewhere, getting your tweeds in a tangle when they fail to do it here is pointless, it doesn't annoy anyone but you. I only use Facebook for pointless drivel, i like that in some small way, i can throw a spanner in Suckaturds marketing data - that seems a worthwhile use of my time.

I have the HMRC, etc websites for pointless drivel - don't need to indulge in more when I wish to relax.

Wine is for indulging in, not HMRC

Wine is good.

Best wait for the Sun/Yard arm, so during the day HMRC it is then...pays for the wine, I suppose.
