Default JDM Type V "VGS" Steering Wheel

I love the look of the flat bottom steering wheel on the JDM Type V S2000's that come with the Variable Gear ratio Steering (VGS) system, has anyone got one of these on their S2000's without VGS or have any ideas on how to source one? I would LOVE to source one to fit to mine. Unfortunately I can't read Japanese so struggle with ebay.co.jp !!

It will not fit a regular non-Type V S2000 without serious modification.

If you're still interested search puddydaddy's posts, he has modded a few in the States.

HTH

Chris.

As far as I remember reading it goes a bit like this.
Remove steering wheel covering, Hacksaw, Hammer, Weld, apply new covering.
Done.

I have to admit I’m surprised that none of the aftermarket manufacturing chaps have done a replacement steering wheel because this question comes up quite often.

Thanks guys, sounds more involved then I imagined, thought it'd be a simple swap.

Will have a search though as I do like that wheel.

I have one ready to put on my next car!
They can be bought new from here

http://japanparts.com/db/parts_detail.php?...=26&submit.y=12

or you can try and get a second hand one, then you really need a second hand donor standard wheel to barstadise onto the VGS.

I will post up piccies when I have it fitted to the next car.

If you search the for sale forum WTB VGS steering wheel you will see the post I started and the advise I got.

Wow, approximately £650...... that IS a lot.

Got a few Japanese guys here at work so gonna get them to look at some of the Japan auction sites. Might give up though if its gonna cost serious ££££'s

Thanks for the help!
