from your chart as you’ve said it’s set up now very similar to the CR ? Isn’t that the pinnacle of the s2000 and the best compromise for road and track ?

I thought the idea of running a bit more preload was so initially the spring has more load or higher rate on it to begin with ?

Springs are linear <does not change KG rates as it compresses>
preload on these are to avoid bump stops.
CR have different tyres compared to others and has a little more oversteer.
Just saying swaping out the rear springs to all corners equal Kgs <if not a square tyre set up>transforms Ohlins on the car

It is indeed.

As I know what a gay bufty you are , I suspect you will want matching colour springs, so you will have to order them in from the Ohlins dealer you bought the kit from (or another Ohlins supplier).

On my car I went for Eibachs, as they are acknowledged as being one of the best springs available (with practically zero sag from compression over time), but they are a different colour:

Ohlins Europe
https://www.ohlins.eu/en/products/au...8010-31--5766/
I put less price ones on mine, Faulkners 600LB=10.5 kg
Mike put Eibach on his Ohlins with a square corner set up.

Wouldn’t doing this make the ride even harder on the rear ?

I haven't tried the 8kg ones, but according to info on this site, it actually makes it slightly better, as you're not ever hitting the bump stops.

ah ok that makes sense and I guess you can just put aprox 2mm preload on as per the front ?
