Default Just bought my S2000

So I travelled half the length of the country last night to get an S2000 at last. Really pleased with it.
It's really foggy in Dundee so I don't have any pictures yet, but it's as standard. an 03 berlina black with full red interior, and under 50k.

It'll be off the road for a little while anyway while I give it a full service for peace of mind. New discs, pads, oil filter and spark plugs.
Does anyone have any recommendations for getting the above?

Also, I only got one key and fob with the car. The last owner said that I should make sure the battery doesnt die otherwise I'll have to get it recoded for about £70. If I wanted another fob it would be £250 from Honda. This scares me a little about the battery dying. Is it true?

Thanks
Sam

Hi and congratulations on the purchase!

Is the fob a 2 button square thing? If so, it's probably a Hamilton Palmer alarm, like on my MY03.

Here's the website http://www.hamilton-palmer.co.uk/ give them a call and they should be able to supply a new fob (I think they're about £40), then you just need to get the fob to pair to the car. I'm sure they will tell you how to do this.

Unfortunately you bought the wrong colour, however welcome to the forum, and to S ownership I am sure you will really enjoy the car.

recoding is something you can do yourself, its a case of switching on and off the ignition and pressing the lock button.
i have the instructions somewhere

That's what all Nurby blue owners say but I actually like the colour, only if it was really dark...like black.

Congratulations and welcome! Post a pic or two when you can, we never get bored of looking at the car.

True, the other fob was probably stolen by a jealous nurby blue owner...

Congrats on the purchase!

Bring on the summer!
