I don't drive my car hard or track it, so these should be fine for what I need them for.
Then why purchase them at all? OEM discs and DS2500s are more than fine for occasional track work, so are easily capable for on the road.

At the top of my list for my turbo conversion. Many people happily smash mods onto their cars to make them faster, but forget about the braking side of things. I myself have done it, and want to start properly. My brakes are terrible on my s2000, disks will soon need replacing, and the calipers are a bit sticky, so for the extra few quid ontop, made sense to future proof for all posibilites.

Ah...I see. Would be good to see a direct comparison of OEM prices versus what you've forked out.

I was thinking the same thing but I think there is an option to leave the calipers blank.

Well, quick look on a honda parts catalogue revealed "BRAND NEW OEM"

PFKL609523 CALIPER SUB ASSY., R. FR. £512.04
PFKL609582 CALIPER SUB ASSY., L. FR. £509.27
PFKL616727 DISK, FR. BRAKE (16") x2 £150 @ 72.50ea

TOTAL £1166.31

I payed a grand total of £625 which also included braided hoses. Absolute crazy what manufacturers charge for new parts!

You wouldn't buy brand new calipers from Honda though, that would be stupid

I'm all for trying new things though so hope they're alright, they certainly look much better than the shitty single piston oem brakes we've got

Yeah I totally agree mate, I would never consider purchasing new from Honda, crazy prices. Like I said, theres no reviews for these on a s2000, so HOPEFULLY they will be fine, If not then looks like its back to OEM ones haha!

FWIW, should these not work out, you can get your OEM items, including the carriers, fully refurbished by Bigg Red for about £170 all-in.

Ah perfect dude! I shall look into that if this fails, all this confusion of their performance makes me want to fit them and test haha!

Might have a look at the weekend

So so sorry about this topic, Totally forgot about it.

Well what can I say, these brakes are AMAZING!

Fitting was a piece of p*ss.

My intentions were to trail fit them, but once I removed my old caliper, the old pad fell out and shattered.... So left me no option other than to work until 2am in the morning as I was at the local motor club.

My BBS didnt clear the caliper, I had to use a 5mm spacer (that I stole from my friends RX7 whilst he was in the Falklands)bit once that was fitted, then perfect.

Bleeding was easy as it always is, and upon first drive and press of the brake pedal, my car stopped instantly!

So now 1000 miles in, and they are well bedded in. My friends cant believe how well they stop!

All in all, an EXCELLENT bit of kit and well worth the money.

I shall try get a video one day if anyone is interested in the stopping time?

So will these fit under a standard 16" wheel do you reckon?
