Keeping the S2k exclusive.

OK its a honda?
Its very quick. And no previous honda was able to make an impact on the euro market.
I think we can keep the s2k/Honda flag flying high by using this website and try to make the UK market realize that this car is no joke!
Autocar last week made remarks that the s2K had NSX performance but at the same time had mx-5 similarities.
What a pile of S****. Ok the s2K does not have a luxury interior finish. Its a drivers car!
But check out the vx220 and elise! No interior, no electric windows, no electric hood, No A/C. hey, sounds like a

Let the rear tyres go down to slicks and the S2000 will soon
exclusive!
Ah yes, Autocar strike again this week,
Boxster 15th best car on sale today, 'handling aside, the worlds fastest powered roof' FVCK OFFFFFFFFFFFF!
Excuse my language, but in all tests isn't the S2000 roof up time of 6 seconds over twice as quick as the nearest rival!

Autocar claim to be the most respected mag in the trade.
At a recent Autocar sponsored track day, Asif (Ikram) asked one of the Autocar Journos why they slated the S2000.
He didn't really have an answer (he hadn't reviewed the car himself) but said something along the lines of it was a difficult car to get the most (performance) out of. He was also bothered by the fact it has electric power assistance, completely missing the point that conventional hydraulics sap power. An electric system only uses power when needed whereas a hydraulic system uses power all of the time to drive the pump and uses the most power at high revs. And of course, EPS comes from the NSX "Supercar".
I think Autocar is a good mag but like any mag the reviews are just personal opinions made very public and the usual brand loyalty, entertainment perks etc have a strong influence on many reviews.
The S2000 is great and is far from being one of "last year's big disappointments". Last year? Does time stand still at Autocar's offices. Shame the most "respected" mag has a problem with accuracy. They tested the car in May 1999....
And this comparison with the Boxter is all very well (especially as Honda chose the Boxter as the target performance measure for the S2000 development), but the price differential is staggering and always ignored, automatically assuming everyone who can afford an S2000 can afford a Boxter (S) and is willing to pay the price.
Thank goodness some people don't like the S2000 and prefer Boxters etc. That way we have slower cars to race
