key fob coding?
Does anyone know how i can re-code one of my keyfobs,
I'd hate to pay out upto |
What sort is it? the standard honda fob or hamilton palmers cat1 as fitted to earlier s2ooos and ctr?
|
If you do a search the answer is posted here somewhere.
+program +keyfob or something like that. Or it might be in the faq :) |
i did it last week. when you turn the the key from the on/off position, make sure you let the rpm lights turn off first. before turning the key to off position.

I have found this on the net
1) Unlock Doors 2) Turn ignition key to "ON" position (II) 3) Press the "LOCK" or "UNLOCK" button on the remote 4) Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position (0, I) 5) Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position 6) Press lock or unlock 7) Turn key to off position 8) on position 9) lock or unlock 10) off position 11) on position 12)lock or unlock - doors should cycle to indicate successful programming. If you only have one remote, turn ignition to off or don't touch anything. if you have 2+ remotes, go to 13: 13) lock on each transmitter that you need to program *Steps 2-12 must be performed within 5 seconds of each other. Step 13 can be performed within 10 seconds of step 12 this is for an other model honda. Ive tried it and it works to a certain extent. after doing this it allows me to lock/unlock doors and open boot, BUT, it does not controll the alarm (no indicators on arm(lock) disarm(unlock) help anyone :eek3: I dont know which alarm it is, i have a very late 2002 gt. i only got the car last week and it has the cheepest looking two button black keyfobs. but i found a three button keyfob in with some of the car details. so im trying to use it cos it looks better and easier to open the boot |
I have now realised that I have programed the keyfob to open close the car but i do not know how to programe the fob to the dealer installed standard uk alarm system.
i may have the wrong keyfob http://www.handaaccessories.com/S2000/s2ksecurity.pdf but which is the correct keyfob then how do i programe it to the alarm help would be greatly appreciated as i seem to be getting no where fast   |
NO idea, But I have just been quoted

Hi,
Did anyone manage to re-code their key fobs ok? I need to re-code one of mine after having my alarm unit replaced. Is is better to get my dealer to do it (they promised FOC) rather than me mess everything up? Cheers Kramix |
