This is old news, and a search will reveal the old coat hanger technique

ATEOTD, locks only keep honest people out.
If someone wants in to your car, a kitchen knife will gurantee entry and not make a whole lot of noise.
I know there are some people who think tha the crims are a bit daft, but they aren't. They already know all the tricks/schemes and will always carry a hammer to smash a window if needs be.
Simple issue - don't leave anything on show in your car!

Gary get youself a bog standard uncoded key cut to keep for these emergencies, it will get you in but won't start the car, that would be £20 instead of the £180 I was quoted for a new coded key from Honda!
And with all cars, if a thief wants it he will get it. Not putting your car down but they won't want to nick and ring a year 2000 S for the return they would get from it, it's kids you need to worry about and I doubt if many of them would find the big red button.

After years of working on car sales forecourts the first thing I do with any car is to put the window down a bit(1/2 way maybe) that way I can always reach in to get the keys or lock button should something untoward happen, as it usually does at the worst possible moment.
