Default Knocking from rear

Does anyone know the name of the adjustable drop link below the sway bar at the rear..its not the sway bar drop links as I've replaced those.Theres a knocking coming from that area and I think this is the culprit.it has a little adjustable nut and connects to lower wishbone.ive removed it and there does seem to be excessive play in the ball joints.
Also is it safe to drive with this removed as I wait on a replacement.

That’s your xenon headlamp leveller. Quite common for the rod/ball joint to break. Not too bad to fix, and yes you can drive but you might find your headlamp beam is a bit out.

And it will fail an MOT, if it's spotted.
