What size turbo is that?

I get average 16 mpg on road driving(be less now as running more boost). Long drive with no boosting then 32mpg

Yeah around then hopefully.

Got a feeling its going to be a huge kick as VTEC and boost come on line together, unless I enable the vtec a bit sooner.

Thats the least of my worries at the moment.. got to get the engine out first thats next weekends job though

You doing anything to the engine? Vtec will want to be engaged from about 4k. Is this going to be a pure road car or drag?

I've been reading a lot on upgrading engine parts as such, I dont plan on having a "built motor" as the yanks say, but I think ill be upgrading my springs and retainers as a minimum. I'll also be changing the oil banjo bolts to the newer design and adding a baffle to my sump.

This is going to be a road car. Purely for weekend fun on dry days only lol.

Yeah that's all you really need to do for now but I have to be honest if you only want 500bhp then you have totally gone ott with the turbo. It will make for a crap road car as when it comes in you won't keep traction. If you were going drag racing then fine. A gt30 powered s2000 would leave you as the power band is optimal and controllable. The turbo you have you could run a 2.4l stroker and it would be a lot better. You upgrading diff, shafts or gearbox?

Well I'm aiming for 500WHP but id be happy with 500 flywheel at first.

Yeah I know the turbo is capable of WAY more, and your right with the other turbo options but if I decide this one isn't for me, then I know quite a few people who want this turbo straight away so I'm pretty happy with selling it on and maybe downsizing. All I really want to do is keep up with my friends rx7 and s14. They leave me for dead on straights

Over time I will upgrade the diff etc, but this car is kind of pay as you go modifying at the moment. Wish I had the funds to purchase everything straight away but at the same time, I don't want to have everything there waiting because I'll get frustrated its not getting fitted lol.

Not many people can afford it all at once and unless it's a race car there is no point.

What power do your friends cars have? S14 and rx7.
