Default Lightweight mirrors

I know there is APR and Craft carbon mirrors out there in the market place at ridiculous money as they are Carbon and have a ‘race’ tag on them – cant see that this justifies the mental money asked for them though, but hay-ho.

Does anyone know of any other lightweight mirrors that will fit the ‘S’?

They don’t have to be C/F as I’m not looking for bling just weight reduction.

There are some really nice Spoon ones available now, but not sure on weight or price.

I think they are very pricey though!

Take the motors out of the original mirrors.

Costs nothing, saves you weight

Otherwise, i'd look at grafting some Motorbike mirrors on. Won't be too difficult.

MB - very nice, but my idea is to spend a little not take a morgage out

ultra_nexus - motors out, good idea I'll have a look at that, might be a bit tricky to keep the mirror glass steady though without the motor to secure it?

With the m/cycle idea its the mounting to the door that will have to be fabricated and I wanted to keep away from having to draw something up ideally.

If you're not looking at a second mortgage then I reckon Nexus' idea is best

The shells cant weigh much, and i'm sure you will find a way of fixing them in place.

I'm thinking of getting these, the problem is you would have to visit the bodyshop to fill the wholes left in you door!

To expensive for my taste - $450 if you get the triangular covers to go with them.

There light for sure - but to heavy for my pocket
