Looking to buy. Is 70k too many miles?
Hello! 1st post and hopefully future s2000 owner.
I've seen a rather nice moonrock grey and black/red interior car locally with approaching 70k miles on the clock. The exterior is pretty mint and the interior has stood up to the test of time well with some expected scuffing to the seat bolsters. Alloys are marked but not beyond repair. Serviced at Honda main dealership on time and every time.
The test drive went very well, feels extremely well screwed together an doesn't feel its age. Pulls like a train and VTEC was a new and very addictive experience!
My question to all of you knowledgeable s2000 owners and enthusiasts is: Is 70k too much? I've heard all sorts about geometry and bushes needing doing (owner doesn't know about this). Is there anything else I need to be aware of?
It's advertised at £9000. I don't think the car is worth this, I'm looking to offer just under £8k. This is taking unto account wheel refurbishment and imminent new tyres. This is clearly a much loved car.
Any advice much appreciated!
Thanks,
Tom
