Master cylinder bleed kit

On my charged s2 had to swap the abs unit ages ago

I'm convinced air remains up there. Pedal is more spongy than my NA car.

I believe you can get a little kit to assist.. can't find one in the UK though.. any experience?

Just go to Kwak-Fart or whoever, they can keep bleeding it till they get it right, at minimal cost.

This car is so ****ed about with and I cba to waste time arguing..

I have read you can trigger the abs with PGM tool so let me see if that works (abs has it's own CPU, this car has AEM so that won't talk to PGM afaik

Jason, have you tried doing it 'the old fashioned way?'

Roads are a bit dry ATM, but it can sometimes work if you bleed again thereafter.

I have triggered some abs last night so will try bleeding again.. saw some guy on YouTube run a tube from caliper to reservoir and then pump and stamp.. worked for him but not s2

Honda PGM won't talk to my ABS.. works fine on STD car

Dusty roads it is then ;)

Large syringe and back bleed it

Ilike this idea, pumping in fluid via caliper? Makes sense given the air is near the res somewhere

Will try and report back.. cheers Ray

I looked for the "universal MC bleed kit" as per the robrobinette guide used with the plastic fittings in the UK and couldn't find one either, what I did do was hook a hose to the front offside caliper bleed nipple and ran it back up to the MC reservoir and submerged the end in the fluid. you can pump until you leg falls off and be convinced there's no bubbles in the ABS pump

Seen that technique too thanks Ben.. my concern is being able to force that bubble down to the caliper from the abs unit

I've got a syringe in the post so will try Ray's method first.. it's only a little bit of air, the brakes work, they can trigger abs but just don't feel as positive as they should..
