mat cleaning
well, good weather, and crappy roads, out came the bucket and sponge for a quick once over.
nice and shiny now. the inside has been needing a touch of attention as the silver(??) honda mats are looking more like a tan colour. currently in the bath soaking and wondering whats the best way to get the mud and dirt out of it. i used to use a pressure-washer which worked mint, i just dont have that luxury anymore. nothing funny like sweeties stuck to it, or ink stains, just 64k miles of use. |
Just use a proper carpet cleaner and it would be ok

|
Any all purpose cleaner diluted with water about 10:1 and agitate with a stiff bristled brush. Then either rinse thoroughly and dry or use a wet vacuum to sook up all the ick.

I used to put my old CRX floor mats in the washing machine - they came up a treat!
|
At 64K the only thing that will clean them is new carpets :D
|
must admit - the only way is the following
Lots of car shampoo.... and presure washer - then drip dry in the garden for a day before puttin on a radiator ! the only way to bring them up - and make them smell like new ! |
