Moonrock Touch Up Paint
Tried this last night and it's not even a close match? I've read posts on here about it being a perfect match but its far from it, in my opinion anyway!
Has some joker put Silverstone paint in the wrong bottle? |
Mine was fine and a very good match to be honest, although that doesnt help you ;)
|
Again, my little bottle of Moonrock touch up is bang on. If you were a little nearer, you'd be welcome to try it and see if you've been given the wrong colour :(
|
Are you sure that your car is Moonrock and not Silverslow? :hidebc:

Well the touch up paint appears to be too light, unless you're looking directly down on it.

They need a very very good shake before applying it
My Moonrcok from Honda & Dr Colorchip were spot on. I hope the AM one is as good at £43 for 30ml :( |

Just to say everyone was right, it is a good match when done right :p I shook the bottle for ages then put a blob of paint in the chip, it needs flattening off and it will probably be hardly noticable.

Try a piece of clean white cotton cloth (old pillow cases etc are ideal) stretched over a piece of smooth planed softwood like pine.
Build the paint high, may take several coats, several days? When you have a dome, and its well hardened then take it back down with the cloth over pine method. And then seal and polish. ;) |
