More Oil Stuff
Just booked my car in for its first service (9000 miles). Was told by Savoy Honda of Wigan that they recommend a fully synthetic oil for the S2000 and that they use Castrol Formula RS (0W-40), yet another different recomendation, appears to vary from garage to garage.
However they were quite happy for me to provide my own Mobil 1. With me providing the oil the price is

I believe there are 3.789 liters in 4 quarts. And our cars hold @5.5 quarts. So, you'll need to give them another liter and I would buy an extra to keep at home/in car.

Forgot about the plugs this weekend, will ask them to do that too. I'll give them two 4L cans of Mobil 1 and tell I expect change!!!!
I thought 72 quid was reasonable, a 6K service in my Prelude used to be 99 when they provided the oil.

Aye, more likely location factors, in the smoke I think the hourly rate can be approaching double in some less populated areas, In sunny Newcastle I have 3 dealers within 10 miles of each other, all wanting my business

Andy,
they are an American company, the first one was in Watford and I think thats the head office. I now have 3 within easy reach Liverpool (20mile), Manchester (13mile) and Haydock (2 mile) so I guess Im spoilt for choice.
They are very cheap for most things they sell electrical gear, gardening gear, food, clothes, etc They tend to be quite a bit cheaper than the high street shops, you can get a pair of Levi 501 for about 20 quid. I bought my lawn mower from them and they were 25 quid cheaper for a 150 quid lawn mowever than the loca. B and Q. If theres one within 20 mile its probably worth a visit to see what they have to offer. They tend to stock quite a bit of Car stuff and tools.
