If just the decat and a pragmatic tester then should be OK. He will appreciate you could put the cat back in, pass the MOT and then remove the cat again.

What's the point in doing that - you are unlikely to thank them for it.

If a tester gets caught passing a car with a decat then they could lose their job so why take the risk

Take it to a garage that likes tuned cars and ask if the MOT guy will need a decat

This^^^^^^ I can never understand why they would take the risk of losing their MOT licence , especially as VOSA can be sitting around the corner on a laptop waiting for the tester to log off the car then turn up and recheck said car

Thanks Ray, glad someone sees it from my side, about 3 months ago a vosa inspector rechecked a car I'd just tested.

MOT done few weeks ago with decat, passed with no advisories depends on the mot station, I find some are understanding.
