MOT fail. Need rear shocks.
Hi all,
My wife's S2000 has just failed its MOT at National Tyres. It needs one new rear shock absorber. I guess both should be replaced at once but National say they'll only fit Honda ones at about £600 each. Can anyone suggest a cheaper alternative? This is a completely standard car which doesn't need high performance adjustable coilovers or anything fancy.
Cheers

You could get a pair of used shocks off the same car. The stock suspension uses remote reservoirs to allow thicker shafts, they are very high end but a lof of people prefer the car lowered so there are plenty about
ensure you get the same model year kit
I bet there are some if you search the fs section

Honda items are £358 a piece, not £600
See here: Honda Car and Auto Parts | Honda HONDA S2000 | REAR SHOCK ABSORBER | Genuine Honda Parts | Honda Cars | Honda Motorcycles | Honda Power Products | Lings Honda Car Parts Selection
Numbers 11 and 12 (note that these vary by model year)
As Si at Hendy for a quote, as he's likely to be a little cheaper: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-irela...thread-852693/
