Default Mugen Intake Feedback

Hello guys,

Anyone with Mugen Intake can give me some feedback? Was it worth the investment? Did you notice sound / power difference?

Thank you very much!!

Regards from Portugal

You'll get some more cold air because the snorkel takes in air before it heats up through the radiator and such, so yes, there's most definitely some gains starting in the mid-range, but you won't get a major power boost if that's what you're after.
Also, the sound is more pronounced, but it's not the sound of a fully open filter.

So basically: a nice addition for a balanced setup. No boy-racer noise, but also no face-melting acceleration

Is it worth the investment? Good question. Knock-off intakes based on the Mugen are easier found and a lot cheaper. They will have the same gains.
So if that's what you're after, go for Mugen if you want to have the genuine product or else go for a knock-off (let's not start the real vs knock-off debate )
If you go for the real one, well, make sure it actually is. I'm still not sure if mine is real or not...

If you want the cool-factor PLUS the best airfilterboxthingy you can get, buy the password:jdm whale penis intake. I think after all these years that's still the best in terms of power gains.

I have a Password snorkel fitted, it makes the car a little more responsive and stops kangarooing in high temperatures. Cheaper than the Mugen but in my opinion the same gains. I would have another one for the slight mid range gain and no kangarooing at 30°C +
