Default Mugen MF10s - What do we think?

I"ve been looking for a new set of wheels for a while now, I"ve tried in vain to get some Spoon SW338s and now after some browsing on eBay US, I found some Mugen MF10s for a "reasonable" price. Here are the specs:

Fronts: 17 x 8 + 45 with 225/45/17
Rears: 17 x 9 +42 with 245/40/17
Tyres are Bridgestone Potenza S03

So, to the questions:
Has anyone on this forum have a set? Is this the "correct" offset for these wheels?
What was the new price for these wheels?
Are they a good wheel to have (in terms of ride and handling, I know they look good already - Bronze wheels on a Silverstone S2k...oh yes!!)

Your help is appreciated!

What was the new price for these wheels?

A trifle confusing: Nick Graves says "no this is not the correct offset", but StevenM who has a set says "yes, this is the correct offset"...

I"m inclined to believe StevenM if he can confirm he has the same offset as listed above?

IIRC, Steven's wheels are +55 and +63?

Not sure what offset mine are but I wasn't aware Mugen did 17" wheels that were not for the S.

I know that mine are the correct offset...... but Nick is the offset expert.

I will see if I can find out.

Thanks to both of you! Wow, that s a big offset difference!

So if the offset is lower, the wheel sits further outboard?

No, the opposite.

I have just checked and it looks like the correct size for MF10s is

17 x 7.5 offset 52
17 x 8.5 offset 59

Or thereabouts

Correct!

You need to understand that the shallow Septics are appearance-obssessed and so align the wheel to the wheelarch edge.

Us deep limeys tend to be handling/engineering obssessed, to we like to align the wheel centreline where the engineers intended it to be.

Thanks a mill, StevenM, thats what my research told me! I"ll send the question back to the fella, see if he is 100% sure about those offsets.

So a difference in offset of 10mm shouldn't be too much to worry I think. They'll still look good!!!
