Finally, another post!
After getting the AEM done, the next thing to sort out was the tired suspension. 11 years and 135k miles, it had seen better days!
A complete Garage-R overhaul and GAZ shocks fitted including
Chemical clean and Undersealed
Polybushed
all Suspension arms coated in POR-15
Mugen Castor bushes
t1R rear arms with Rose joint ends and boots(should last longer than the t1R joints!)
t1r steering rack spacers
New diff
GAZ shocks
New Rear Brakes
A lot of work that went on over the Christmas break, just got the car back, the 230mile drive back was interesting, the car is much better with the new shocks but the alignment really needs to be done. Still some teething issues with the GAZ suspension, I have the wrong kit effectively so GAZ are going to rectify and set it all up for me, so I need to get some fast road settings which have a good balance between track and road. I did grab a members who posted their fast road settings but I cant quite remember who it was now and I have lost the details!
Here are some pics of the car....its soooo low! I think it puts Tommys to shame!
It just about makes all the bumps the bumper spats are hitting the road on heavy dips.
Next is all the electronics need to be finished off : AEM AFR and oil pressure and temp gauges.
Then the interior plastics
Then the bumpers! I have a carbon insert now for the hole in teh bumper, lets see if it improves the aesthetics, if not another bumper is on the side line!

I admire the attention you have given the suspension though

an update:
Gaz have my car and are rethinking the suspension set-up, in terms of spring rates and the like. they are going to try a number of different setups from 350/250 to 350 all round and take it from there.
KawasakiVtec has had his fitted and corner weighted and is getting some good results. Lovegroova is still rocking the original set up and is finding a few niggles that hopefully will be ironed out soon!
