Default My car is too quiet

Morning all,

After the pistonheads meet and seeing Adrian's J's Racing exhaust, I want to make my car louder. I know I can't expect that exhaust on a budget, but what's the best way to make the car louder. I don't want it to be deafening at motorway cruising speeds. My options are presumably:
1) Exhaust
2) Decat
3) Cold Air Intake

Does anyone have experience with budget products that give a lot of bang for the buck? Happy to go second hand / ebay auctions etc.

ps - airbox lid already removed...

Invidia exhaust might be cheaper than other brands out there.
VTEC crossover sounds great with any kind of open air filter, K&N FIPK sounds awesome or Panta is selling a cold air intake for £130 in the FS section.

A cheap decat should be enough not to make you fedup at motorway speeds..

Have a go with the lid off, if you like that but want just a bit more then go for a K&N FIPK system. A friend had one and no other mods on his S2000 it kept it very descreet around town but made it sound like an SLR McLaren when he hit vtec.

If you want more than that then pick a nice exhaust but make sure you listen to a few others before you buy and fit. Same friend previously had a HKS system that droned so much at motorway speeds it made the car very uncomfortable to drive.
