Default My trip to Jack Smiths

Took a trip to Jack Smiths at the weekend. Left Liverpool at 3.30 in the morning, pootled down and came across some mega roads (some may recognise from topgear!)

Top itself is good, few little bits i've tidied up, spot of glue i've picked off and threads that needed trimming but for £280 i really cannot complain. Ray's a nice chap, says it how it is! don't use him if you're easily offended! his workshop is down some shady alley way in swansea.

so roof before. Wasn't the worst of conditions but never liked the blue anyway!

all fitted and on my way home. Was advised to leave roof shut for 24hours to aid the glue to set

Managed to crack the proper camera out in the morning and take advantage of some mega roads!

fly collection

gave the top a quick wipe down once i was home and applied some of this

Also had chance to test fit my splitter onto a car with the OEM lip.

Unfortunately doesn't fit without fiddling around with it! Never mind. when i get chance i'll make one that does!

Brilliant. Looks fantastic.

How long did it take to fit? And what's his guarantee, if any?

arrived at half 8. he took quite a few calls, chatted to customers who popped in, stripped a mr2 and had a few brews and was done by 1230. said i was in no rush and he was made up. Said bellends turn up expecting him to take 3 hours to the second. He just tells them how it is
guarantee wise i doubt it. If you have an issue he will happily sort but in what timeframe i'm unsure. For £280 even if it onl lasted 3 years i wouldnt mind. considering a monsoon is £600+ without the fitting. No reason this won't last just as long
