My Trip to TDI

On Monday this week I spent the day over at TDI in Thurrock while my car was tested on their dyno and then had a new exhaust manifold fitted.

I recently got a Berk ceramic coated manifold from Berk Technologies in the US and not only wanted it fitted but also wanted to test its performance because I

Hubs are moer accurate than RRs because they are removing more variables (Rolling radius, wheel size, tyre size, camber, toe etc etc) that wheels will introduce :)

Still, I would argue that the shape of the curve is far more important than the number you get :)

Exactly and the shape was similar to previous although I think TDI do the test over a longer period of time.

Regarding the shape I've felt that with the intake change it's been more progressive at vtec rather than the big gulp and change that I had with the K&N. The dyno plot shows this quite nicely. Will get it scanned and post it shortly.

Agreed, do you know your greddy ECU was setup on dynapack hub type dyno? ;)

I still remember the day i got it and it was a pile of shit, but now since I've come to
help/participate mapping cars with my mate and dyno mine i know what a waste it was

Seems they do read accurately.

Did you dyno the k&n fipk? what did you notice?

I lost a tiny bit lower down but gained throughout vtec.
