Default Need to use a ramp

Hi everyone. Does anybody know where i would be able to to use/rent a ramp. I need to get under my car to scrape off the rust before it becomes a major issue. I am located in Greater Manchester and the closest one i can find is in Ellesmere Port (Welcome to Self-Service Garage - Ellesmere Port).

Thanks.

Also, does anyone know where i can get my engine bay cleaned (needs more than a quick wipe, probably steam cleaning).

Couldn't you do any restoration work on axel stands? You can get the car pretty high to be honest so it's not to much of a pain in the arse.

Its quite bad under there, even up on a ramp with easy access it would be a full days work to clean it off. i might also take the wheels off and arches out. i would be giving it a good under-seal as well so somewhere clean, dry and undercover would be good.

Ok I see, I mean I have done a back to bare metal Resto job on the underneath of mine and to be honest if I were to do it again I would remove everything at once, engine, box front and rear ends and get the chassis all soda blasted and painted some place and stone chipped... then just build up the front n rear subframes myself after powdercoat.its the chassis that's the pain in my experiance. But saying all that it's very doable at home and at very hi standard aswell from what I've seen on here just takes time.

Disassembling the entire car would put me slightly out of my comfort zone. I just want to get all the surface rust and corrosion off before it eats a hole in the floor. Your way sounds very thorough, i just lack the confidence, skill, training, tools and time.
