New boot floor
had the car since 2002 and its now a sunny day only backup
last year about MOT time i noted dreaded boot rot, must be a leak, ironically from washing
looked like this
ouch
so i booked it in and had a new panel put in..
better
at the same time screen out to repair rust, maybe a scratch by shit fitter, maybe the crap copy seal (factory are ££) so a pricey month but this car owes me nothing and still drives brilliantly so wtf eh?
had the screen surround painted gloss black, the oem stickers seem pointless

That looks really tidy Nottm.
Both jobs that I need doing too. My windscreen surround I'm convinced was done last screen replacement with a pry bar or some such. Will also need a full screen replacement next time as its got so many stone chips I'm surprised I can still see through it.
Boot floor looks great. did you get the replacement made up or is at an OEM part ? I believe these are seriously expensive from Honda.

the aftermarket one i had (fitted by Grantham Honda when they broke my screen (insert abuse of choice, mine too bad for here)) did not feel like oem in how it flexed ( I have another to compare) and was crap basically
but my view is a scratch during the cutting out of oem screen caused the rust.. the car has nothing bar rear arch bits from those seals/impact damage.. the non oem screen is also sub std imho.. i should have gone used oem

I had this battle with screen fitters using non oem screen and rubber.
Eventually after 3 screens and new paint (at my bodyshop) on surround where they scratched it they fitted a new oem screen and oem seal.
I reckon it must have cost them close to £2k all because they didn't want to fit OEM in the first place... idiots!

£580 + vat labour for both jobs, i reckon it would not be far off a 50/50 split, the screen removal and repair was a bitch but the boot is basically drop exhaust,, drill out spot welds, tidy, spot weld new panel, paint, seal, underseal.
i wanted it oem finish and the bodyshop i use is not the cheapest but is very, very good ime and does me decent rates.. to give you a comparison a few years ago he did prep and paint bonnet, bumper and wings on my M3 for about £900. fantastic job. i could have maybe had a crap job done for 600?
