Hi all

For those of you who have been following my indecisive nature about the colour choice will know I am still without an S. I am pleased to announce to you all that the final choice of colour is now confirmed and no matter what happens the car will be with me in the 2nd week of June.

So far the colour choices I have made are:
Moonrock with half red/black
MR with full red
Black with full red (same as my old car again)
New formula Red or is it Ascari Red?

Just to some it up for those not in the know I wanted a change of colour. Black was my favourite and I would have ordered it again in a heartbeat if I lived somewhere hot and dry for the majority of the time. It was just too much effort and hard work to keep clean. I therefore went for a MR but was unsure of this colour, it did seem a bit plain but was easier to keep clean and I could have had the full red interior. After looking at the pics for a long time and reading some other posts I was unhappy with the choice of colour. But the nail in the coffin was when I was offered an exceptional deal by another dealership and I wanted to go for a black as this was the earliest delivery and in a colour of my choice. Deep down however I still wanted a change of colour and looked at various options.

In the end I drove to a local dealership and saw the Red S. It was gorgeous. Maybe a bit 80's sports car look but it was shiny and showed off the lines very well. After much debate with myself this I knew would be my next car. It is a colour which made me want to own another S in a heartbeat. On the way back I saw an immaculate Boxster, please don't laugh, in black. He must have just finished waxing it and it looked very shiny, deep wet look and almost made me change my mind once again on my colour choice. Not a change of car mind you.

I have however not been tempted by any other colour except for MCB which, fortunately for me, is not available in 04. That would have made life very difficult indeed. I must say that my indecision was mostly based upon the availability of the red interior. Once I had decided that the red interior was no longer a "must have" it allowed for other colours to become options.

All I can say is I am ecstatic today and in order to prove it I have bought a PRM, NXT polish and ordered some MF towels through the group buy. I am counting the weeks now and will upload pictures of it when it arrives.

Not unless you're a Septic - it's Ascari Red in the UK!

(Sounds so much better than NFR too)

Got there in the end, eh Rahul?
