Default New Cat fitted

I Have changed my cat and ever since there has been a light on my dashboared, is this normal?
I have been told that i need a different Sensor! Does anyone know how much and were i can get one from?
Has anyone else had this?

I got it when I fitted my new cat and the sensor wires were grazed and touching. I just took the sensor of the old one which was in perfect condition, then took out the BACKUP fuse to reset the ECU.

Jobs a good 'un.

Yup, it will be your secondary o2 sensor that plugged into the cat thats giving you the trouble.

When you say you changed your cat, what did you put in? A like for like one, a decat, or an aftermarket cat?

I've put a sports cat on as my standed cat was f**ked. They used the old sensor.

Sounds like you may need some anti-foulers.

That explains it.

The sensor is now sitting too far into the gas flow, and you need the bits Steven mentions above to sort it. Causing no harm in the meantime though. Mine has been on for 2 months

Only a few quid, maybe find them on Ebay. Antifowlers is the key word.

Or put an ad in "wanted" on here.
