New exhaust or uk mod

New exhaust or uk mod
After 2 months of S ownership I've started hearing a new noise that I thought was a TCT gone bad. Card in spokes kinda noise rpm dependent. Quick check under the bonnet and the noise was very hard to hear, making me think it is not TCT. While checking the rest of the car I found that I have a broken exhaust hanger. Not sure that explains the new noise, but got me thinking about exhaust options.
I find the stock exhaust too be way to quiet, but the I've read a bunch of horror stories from the q300 and friends.
Should I fix the stock exhaust and go ukmod or go aftermarket?
Also, I am Devon based any suggestions on garages?

The Tanabe Medalion Touring dual exhaust is much nicer than the Invidia Q300 (which I ripped off my car after two weeks of painful noise).
Internet sound clips are useless. Try to hear this exhaust on a car (inside the car). My experience is limited to OEM, Q300, and Medalion Touring. The last remains on the car now for 2 years and I'm still happy. Unlike my wife and neighbors the stanced Civic guys at the high school preferred the Q300. UK mod takes much trial and error to get the right sound. Got welder? Got lots of time? Easier to do on the bench rather than under the car. Hear this before considering it as there are infinite variations based on bypass pipe diameter and placement. Not for me.
The OEM TCT will fail. How many miles on the car? I replaced mine at about 40K miles as preventive maintenance. 10 minute job with simple tools.

I went with the Uk mod with 32mm pipes and the sound is great when pressing on but with no drone on the Mway. Best of both worlds and cheaper than a new system. Can't fault it unless you want to save weight.

I just had the uk exhaust mod done ... 38mm . Absolutely over the moon with it paired with my resonated decat pipe . No drone and quite while cruising, then nice and barky when you open it up . Best £60 I've spent in ages
