New Hamilton & Palmer Alarm

New Hamilton & Palmer Alarm
The immobiliser part of my alarm died, I could lock/unlock the car and turn the engine over, but there was no green key light. So it was off to the main dealer on a flatbed.
They diagnosed the problem as a dead Hamilton & Palmer alarm and have fitted a new one (they quoted me £482). However, since then they say that they cannot stop the alarm from going off. Although the immobiliser now works OK.
They have had my car for over a week now, so I'm starting to get concerned. Is it that difficult to fit a new alarm?
Has anybody that has had similar Hamilton & Palmer problems got any advice? It would be nice to get my car back.

Give Hamilton Palmer a ring direct 01732 760022, they are down in Sevenoaks Kent, not sure on your location but they are extremely helpful.
They sent an engineer to me and changed the motherboard on my alarm and it was less than £200!

OK, thanks. I will call Hamilton Palmer on Monday. I think that if the dealer cannot get the car sorted in the next couple of days I will tell them that I want to come and collect it and get the work done elsewhere... I don't know how they will handle that!

In all honesty get rid of the alarm and get another alarm fitted. I had mine 3 months before the Palmer unit failed, got a clifford 650 mk2 fitted for around 3-400 from memory and havent had a problem since.
It would only be a matter of time before it fails again imo.
