New hood recommendation
Hi all,
Just wanted to post credit where it's due... I had my old black vinyl hood replaced in the autumn and was pretty nervous about getting a good new one, especially after seeing some pretty hairy stories about the fit.
I went to Car Hood warehouse in Sevenoaks - spoke to Tyrone, lovely chap, super job : I now have a dark blue mohair lid, it's beautiful and sets off the car wonderfully. What's more it's done a few months now and there's been no movement in the fit and the mechanism works perfectly.
Hope this helps someone trying to decide

Glass screens don't get re-used... they're 'welded' in place with the wiring ready to clip together. Sadly, the old one gets chucked away with the hood... I did ask!
Cost - varies depending on what you want: suggest looking at their website (Car Hood Warehouse | Honda Car Hoods | Soft Tops | Convertibles) to find out for your choice as it ranges from £500 to £745 depending on what you want.

I had that Carhood Warehouse blue mohair hood fitted in 2009. Still absolutely fine. They are though difficult to keep clean.
