New Kenwood BT92SD installation - anyone done one recently?
I've just fitted a new Kenwood SDcard unit to my S2000. At last decent sound and lots of albums. (Kenwood BT92SD)
Anyway, the installation went well as I'd done it before on my previous S2k a good few years back. Back then I installed a Clarion with autoleads and got everything to work - by that I mean all steering/dash buttons including the mute button.
I'd read on here that the Kenwood units also operate all functions - but mine doesn't.! I've connected the mute of the unit to the mute of the autoleads adaptor (had to wrap the wires though and use insulation tape as no connectors) but still nothing. Mute light comes on and the sound of a micro switch but no muting of the radio. I've had a look on here and there are no solutions as such and anything remotely helpful is from a good few years back on older radios.
Anyone fitted a new Kenwood unit recently with autoleads and had success in getting the mute button working?
Just today my indicators have stopped working - assuming its a fuse but hope I haven't cause it?
Thanks a lot

I installed a older kenwood unit with the autoleads kit a few months ago. I can't remember exactly what wire went where but I'm sure my unit had a (brown?) wire labeled mute that I had to strip and wire up. When I press my mute button it switches the radio to "call" which does mute it but seems a weird way of doing it. Unless I've wired it up wrong!
