New owner looking for Coilover and wheel advice.
Hi guys,
Picked up my s2000 on friday, planning to use it for the summer and sell it on around september time.. so far pleased with..
I am looking to fit some wheels, coilovers and the OEM front lip..
I dont intend to have the s2000 car near a track so i am looking to fit a cheap height adjustable coilover kit to the car.. i have seen some sets on ebay but not sure where to buy from? budget for suspension is around £600 for either new cheaper kit or a 2nd hand kit.
The wheels i would like to fit to the car are BBS LM Replicas, a friend can get these for me, 18x8 front with 49 offset. and 18x9 rears with 39 offset, Will these fit the car? i want the car to run low, and ill be running 215/35/18 tyre.
Also my final request is a contact for the best replica front splitter?
Is there a supplier in UK for these?
Thanks in advance.
Iain

The 39 offset on the rears will be to little.
Standard offset is 65 at the rear and real LM's have a 55 offset at the rear.
I would say not to go below 50 on the rears unless your after the Hellaflush look
BC coilovers are in your budget and are meant to be ok for street

In fairness i do like fat flush look.. i would be prepared to get run a stretch on the tyre and get my arches rolled also..
Does anyone else know any companies doing BBS LM replicas in a closer offset to standard?

If you're prepared to roll your arches and run -2.5 camber at the rear then you'll be fine
Meister R coilovers are the pick of the cheaper bunch!
OEM lip, look on american ebay, don't be scared about buying from the states!

I gotta ask, if you are going to sell in September why bother with the coilovers? Why not just drop on the stock suspension woth springs? If you are doing any significant drop you will need driveshaft spacers as well, and perhaps an anti-bumpsteer kit.

Specs are 17x9 et36 17x8.5 et36
meister R and BC are similar although I've had both and would always go meister R now. They seem more
robust and the customer service is fantastic.
Gaz I have on my BMW trackcar, they seem great on the track but they don't seem quite aswell made to cope with Uk roads IMO
