You have an ap1. Not an ap2. I think the ap2 models were the s2000s with the 2.2 litre engines that only went to USA and Japan maybe?

Most people refer to their car by model year. I have a MY05.

I also thought I had an ap2.

If you check the engine bay you'll see it's an ap1.

Aha I see.... yes I understand I think.... the capacity was changed due to the co2 emission regulations for usa models.... so these cars are ap2s only yes? UK models whilst having revised chassis tweeks, cosmetic and some engine changes are still referenced as ap1 is this what you are saying???

Every days a school day!!

Just looking at the times on my posts forgot its an american web site board... so for you USA people.... im a seattle mariners fan... cant wait to see them play again at home April this year.... and you Canadians aye.... Im an off ice trainer for a uk ice hocky team.... come on you Canucks....

Ill get pics up asap. Ive just bought -30mm springs and k&n induction kit typoon in red!! Relocates filter to front bumper air I take. Decided today that ill also add my sparco stearing wheel as its smaller and has a snap off boss so thats ideal for security.

Just cant wait to pick it up this coming weekend.

I'd really suggest driving it for a bit and researching modification before diving in and buying on snap decision.

There's loads of info on here - time time to use the search etc.

Welcome

Are you sure the K-sport kit fits under standard wheels?. I know very few big brake kits fit without aftermarket wheels or spacers.

Ive emailed them and they replied saying the 6 pots would fit.... I asked twice and explained that I didn't want to change the wheels.... or add spacers..... they said the 8 pots needed 10-15mm spacers though.

What are the biggest brakes we can fit to standard honds 17" alloys?? (Let me guess... use the search.....)

Why do you want bigger brakes? I've raced for 2 seasons on standard calipers, and only changed them now to save money on changing discs and pads. They could lock semi slick tyres up from pretty much any speed and never faded.

They won't slow you down any quicker. Your tyres do that, and with a decent set of discs and pads that can even be overkill on the S2000.

There are very few calipers which will fit under standard wheels. Tarox are one that I know of.

If it's just to look good then ok, that's your choice, but to do it properly I think you are going to need spacers or different offset wheels.

Would be that last mod I would go for though!

Apparently the HiSpecs fit with a 3mm spacer, but then you are talking twice the money of the Ksports..
