Throw some light on this!
So I have a set of js2k supernova dome lights in the cabin of my car.The other night my passenger didn't close the door correctly so my cabin lights remained on for about 2 hours.car started fine but the left hand dome light seemed to just dim instead of going completely of, I swapped over the lights and the same thing happened, disconnected battery and removed fuse but same thing happened, I just put the stock bulbs back in and they work fine albeit with that low yellow light which idont like.
So the js2k bulbs both seem fine but when you put either into the left hand side of the dome light the issue raises it's head.Very confusing.

You may want to check your door switches to ensure they're closing. On the S2000s, they seem to be sticky, and not always want to trigger.
If you're still having issues with it only dimming, you may have a bad connection. There are a couple guides on removing the dome light and cleaning the contacts under the switch.
This won't happen with the stock lights because it takes more voltage to light them up. With LEDs, if there is a bit of voltage through the circuit, it may light up dimly.

You win the pie!
LEDs can be a pain - I cannot use one in my landing light as it's picking up a phantom signal from somewhere and glows dimly.
If it can find an arse-circuit back to the battery somewhere, it will!
Door switches are easy to remove and to clean - just connect the wire to anything, so it doesn't creep back in and hide in the B-pillar where you cannot retrieve it.
IIRC, the door lights and radio share a fuse; thus, the back-up battery in the radio is probably outputting just enough voltage to fire the 1st LED but not the second. That could be the arse-circuit.

LEDs of any kind rely on sound electrics a dodgy return to ground or poor switch will do that, it's because the LEDs themselves have a much higher resistance than filament bulbs.

So the Supernova Dome LEDs are our brighter version of LEDs for the S2000's dome lights.
We have 2 brightness levels and this is REALLY bright. I love it when you unlock the car and your whole interior lights up. I've actually had a few people exchange them for the regular Dome Light LEDs because they were too bright, haha.
